Corfu bareboat sailing holidays

The island of Corfu (Korfu - Kerkira) constitutes the northern part of the Ionian, and is therefore not always included in the typical Ionian itineraries and bareboat sailing routes.
Yet, the islands of Paxos and Andipaxos are a perfect stepping stone to reach the beautiful island of Corfu from for instance Lefkas, where most yacht charter companies have their charter base. The tree important ports to rent a yacht from are Lefkas, Preveza and Corfu. Note, that in order to go bareboat (also known as self-sail), you need at least one experienced person onboard with the right sailing experience preferably with the appropriate certification.
From Corfu, it is also easy to sail either via crewed or bareboat yacht charter towards the Adriatic coasts of Croatia - Dubrovnik and Split - or the Italian shores.
