Sailing Greece
Lefkas is the most ideal port - together with nearby Nidri and Preveza - to explore the southern Ionian waters of Greece and indeed nearly all yacht charter companies offer yacht charters and sailing holidays using Lefkas (Lefkada port) as a yacht charter base. Note, that the Ionian water are the easiest of whole Greece due to short distances, very light winds and hardly any waves.The other important base in the Ionian Sea - northwest in Greece and near the Albanian border - is Corfu port, usually out of Gouvia marina on the east coast of the island.
